Local 2041 Job Readiness Program

What is it?

The Job Readiness Program is an 8-week program to prepare you for a job in the construction industry; you will get hands-on experience with tools and learn the basics of Interior Systems Carpentry in a safe and supportive environment (what do Interior Systems Carpenters do?).

During the first four weeks, you will attend classes where you will learn all the important theory and skills needed for the job, including earning Ministry safety certifications.

After in-class training, you will spend the next four weeks on a real construction site. This is where the fun really begins! You will learn on the job, getting practical experience and gaining even more skills. Don't worry, we will make sure you have all the necessary safety gear (PPE) and hand tools to succeed in the program and in your future career.

Who is it for?

This program is for people between the ages of 18 and 29 interested in kick-starting a successful career as an Interior Systems Carpenter.

We understand that everyone faces different challenges and we have designed this program to remove any barriers that might get in your way.

Our goal is to give you the best possible chance of success, so you can thrive and achieve your dreams.
